ERC-20
The Ethereum token standard that made launching interchangeable tokens trivial — the DNA of most tokens on our screener.
ERC-20 is Ethereum’s standard interface for fungible tokens, defining the functions every token contract must expose (transfer, balance, approval). Standardization is why any wallet, DEX or protocol instantly supports a brand-new token — they all speak the same six functions. The majority of major stablecoins and DeFi tokens are (or began as) ERC-20s.
Its “approval” mechanism is also DeFi’s biggest self-inflicted risk surface: granting a contract unlimited allowance to spend your tokens is convenient — and exactly what drainers abuse. Reviewing and revoking stale approvals is core wallet hygiene.
