Trading Volume
Value traded over a period — the liquidity pulse that validates (or exposes) a price move.
Volume totals the value changing hands in a window — the 24h column on our screener. It’s the conviction meter: rallies on expanding volume carry participation; the same candle on thin volume is a rumor. Volume relative to market cap also proxies tradability — how much size the market can absorb without slippage.
Caveat: crypto volume is self-reported by venues, and wash trading inflates it — especially on small exchanges and freshly listed tokens (a coin with volume rivaling majors and no known community is advertising manipulation, not adoption). Cross-checking volume across reputable venues is a two-minute credibility test.
