Meme Coin
A token whose product is the joke and the crowd — pure attention markets with lottery-ticket math.
A meme coin is a token whose value rests on culture, humor and community momentum rather than any technical function — Dogecoin (2013) is the ancestor; thousands of successors launch weekly, especially on low-fee chains. A few produced legendary returns; the overwhelming majority go to zero, often within days.
Meme markets are attention markets: price follows virality, influencer promotion (often paid — see pump and dump) and insider supply concentration. They’re also the natural habitat of rug pulls. If allocating anyway, the honest frame is entertainment budget, not investment — sized like lottery tickets, because statistically that’s what they are.
